Role & responsibilities:
- Manage end-to-end payroll operations across all three businesses of metallurgy ensuring accurate and timely salary processing in compliance with organizational policies and statutory requirements.
- Ensure compliance with all payroll-related statutory obligations including PF, ESIC, PT, TDS, gratuity, bonus, and other applicable labour law requirements.
- Oversee payroll accounting activities including payroll reconciliation, provisions, statutory payments, and coordination with finance teams for audit and reporting requirements.
- Manage employee lifecycle transactions impacting payroll including onboarding, promotions, increments, and full & final settlements.
- Ensure timely preparation, maintenance, and submission of payroll records, statutory returns, compliance documentation, and audit-related information.
- Prepare and analyse payroll MIS, dashboards, and reports to support management decision-making and business requirements.
- Monitor payroll timelines, process adherence, and compliance controls to mitigate operational and statutory risks.
- Support compensation-related activities including annual increments, bonus processing, incentive payouts, and compensation revisions.
- Issue Form 16 and TDS explain point
Preferred candidate profile:
- The ideal candidate should preferably be a graduate/PG with around 8-12 years of experience in payroll management, statutory compliance, and HR operations, preferably within manufacturing or similar industries.
- The candidate should possess strong experience in end-to-end payroll processing, payroll governance, labour law compliance, payroll accounting coordination, and managing payroll systems and processes across multiple locations.
- Exposure to HRMS platforms, statutory audits, taxation, compensation structures, and employee lifecycle processes will be preferred.
- The role requires strong analytical, stakeholder management, problem-solving, and process improvement skills, along with the ability to manage confidential information with high accuracy and compliance orientation.
