Description:
- The Assistant General Manager - Sales will play a critical role in driving new business acquisition and revenue growth for advanced AECO technology solutions, including BIM, structural design, and digital construction platforms.
- This role requires a strong blend of consultative selling, industry expertise, and stakeholder management to influence decision-makers across the construction and engineering ecosystem.
- You will work closely with senior leadership to execute sales strategies, build high-value client relationships, and expand market presence across infrastructure, industrial, and commercial segments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Own and drive revenue targets (quarterly and annual) across assigned regions, verticals, or key accounts within the AECO ecosystem
- Identify and develop new business opportunities across architects, structural consultants, EPC companies, contractors, and real estate developers
- Execute end-to-end consultative sales cycles from lead generation, qualification, and discovery to solutioning, proposal development, negotiation, and closure
- Conduct detailed client needs assessments, mapping AECO workflows (BIM, detailing, project execution) to solution capabilities
- Deliver high-impact product presentations and demos, showcasing value in terms of productivity, cost optimization, quality improvement, and project timelines
- Build and maintain strong relationships with CXOs, project heads, engineering leaders, and procurement stakeholders
- Drive account expansion strategies, including cross-sell and upsell within existing enterprise clients
- Collaborate with pre-sales, technical, and product teams to design tailored solutions aligned with client requirements
- Lead and support RFP/RFI responses, commercial proposals, and contract negotiations
- Track and manage sales pipeline, forecasting, and reporting using CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce)
- Partner with marketing teams to execute targeted campaigns, events, and industry engagements
- Develop and manage channel partners / resellers, enabling joint go-to-market strategies where applicable
- Stay updated on industry trends including BIM adoption, digital twins, smart construction, and evolving AECO standards
Key Requirements:
- 8-12 years of B2B enterprise sales experience, preferably in AECO, construction technology, BIM, engineering software, or related domains
- Proven track record of meeting/exceeding revenue targets in complex solution sales environments
- Strong exposure to AEC workflows, including BIM, structural design, detailing, fabrication, or project lifecycle management
- Experience selling to EPC firms, contractors, engineering consultancies, architects, or infrastructure companies
- Demonstrated expertise in consultative and solution-based selling, including value articulation and ROI-driven discussions
- Strong understanding of project-based sales cycles and multi-stakeholder deal environments
- Proficiency in CRM tools (Salesforce or similar) and sales planning methodologies
- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills
- Ability to engage with both technical and business stakeholders effectively
- Willingness to travel extensively across regions for client meetings and industry engagements
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with BIM platforms, structural engineering tools, or construction management software
- Prior experience in handling large enterprise accounts or strategic clients
- MBA or equivalent qualification in Business / Marketing / Engineering Management
- Exposure to channel sales or partner ecosystem development
