Position: Senior Manager - Strategic Sourcing & SCM.
Reporting to: General Manager / Head - Strategic Sourcing & SCM.
Role Type: Individual Contributor.
Department: Supply Chain.
Business Division: Printed Electronics.
Location: PELHAR Plant, Vasai (Mumbai).
Role Summary:
- A Strategic Sourcing Specialist optimizes an organization's supply chain by identifying, evaluating, and securing suppliers to reduce costs and improve quality.
- They manage end-to-end procurement, including market analysis, RFP creation, contract negotiations, and supplier performance monitoring to ensure long-term value and operational efficiency.
- Main Task to perform.
- New part development: NPD Activity (RFQ to First part approval), First Part Approval from QA, Compare Part Costing with different supplier.
- Value innovation: Cost Saving simulation with alternate supplier/Alternate Part, Negotiations (Pay term Advance >30 / Shipping team CIF to FOB).
- Tooling/Moulding: Tool/Mold cost Working, Mould /Tool Details at different supplier, Mould Life management.
- Capex costing: Capex requirement & supplier identification, Cost finalisation with vendors.
- Consumable Development: Supplier identification for consumable parts, Cost reduction with alternate development.
- Localisation: Find Local supplier alternate with better price.
- China Part/ Product Development: New Part development from China/(Global) based on Drawing/Proto, New Supplier identification Development, cost reduction with China Supplier identification for new /existing parts.
Commodities to Handle:
- Resin Polymers, PET, PC, PEN Films.
- Electronics: PCB Assy /Semiconductors /wiring Harness/Connectors.
- Conductive Inks/Tapes/Adhesives/Consumables.
Key Expectation:
- Supplier Management: Identify, onboard, and manage supplier relationships, conducting performance reviews to ensure compliance with KPIs regarding quality and delivery.
- Cost & Negotiation: Lead negotiation efforts to achieve cost savings using Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) analysis, aiming for reduced material and transport costs.
- Zero Base costing.
- Strategic Sourcing: Develop and execute sourcing strategies for specific commodities, analyzing industry trends and benchmarking to drive competitiveness.
- Contracting & Procurement: Manage the full RFP (Request for Proposal) process, including drafting contracts and conducting, monitoring, and enforcing compliance.
- Collaboration: Partner with Engineering, Product Management, and Operations to align purchasing activities with company goals.

- Market Analysis & Research: Ability to identify trends, benchmark prices, and assess supplier landscapes.
- Cost Analysis & Value Optimization: Conducting cost-benefit analyses and identifying cost-saving opportunities.
- Data Analysis & Forecasting: Analyzing spend data and forecasting demand to mitigate supply chain risks.
- Contract Management & Negotiation: Negotiating complex agreements and managing vendor contracts.
- Technical Proficiency: Knowledge of ERP systems, e-procurement tools, and AI-enabled planning tools.
Strategic and Process Skills:
- Supplier Relationship Management (SRM): Building partnerships, assessing supplier capacity, and managing performance.
- Strategic Planning: Aligning procurement strategies with organizational goals and managing risk.
- Project Management: Coordinating projects, from RFI/RFP (Request for Proposal) to implementation.
- Ethical Sourcing & Compliance: Ensuring compliance with social, environmental, and ethical standards.
Soft Skills:
- Effective Communication: Interacting with stakeholders and negotiating with vendors.
- Influencing and Negotiation: Persuading stakeholders and managing stakeholder relationships.
- Critical Thinking & Problem-Solving: Resolving supplier conflicts and addressing supply chain disruptions.
Educational Qualification:
- The candidate must hold a bachelor's degree in engineering (Electronics/Mechanical) from a reputed institute.
- Minimum 10~15 years of work experience in the Core Part Development & Strategic sourcing.
- The candidate needs to read, write & speak chinses Language.
- Preferred Industry Background: Automotive / White Goods / Consumer Electronics / Electronics / Medical Devices / Raising / PET / Films / Ink / Auto components / Automotive aftermarket, Auto Detailing & Customization, Car Care & PPF Companies, Window Films / Accessories or any relevant.
