Position: Deputy General Manager - Finance & Accounts.

Reporting to: CFO / Head Finance and Accounts.

Position Purpose:

The Deputy General Manager - Finance & Accounts will be responsible for leading the Company's financial accounting, reporting, taxation, audit and compliance functions while ensuring robust financial governance and internal controls. The role will partner closely with the CFO and business leaders to provide financial insights, support business planning, drive process improvements and ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards and statutory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Accounting & Reporting:

- Lead monthly, quarterly and annual financial closing activities in compliance with Ind AS, Indian GAAP and applicable regulatory requirements.

- Ensure accuracy and completeness of books of accounts through effective review of ledgers, reconciliations, provisions, accruals and balance sheet schedules.

- Oversee preparation and review of standalone financial statements and management reports.

- Conduct variance analysis and provide meaningful financial insights to support management decision-making.

Consolidation & Group Reporting:

- Manage consolidation of domestic and overseas subsidiaries and ensure timely submission of Group financial reports.

- Review inter-company transactions, related party transactions and statutory disclosures.

- Ensure consistency of accounting policies and compliance with Group reporting requirements.

Taxation & Statutory Compliance:

- Oversee direct and indirect tax compliance including Income Tax, GST, TDS and Transfer Pricing requirements.

- Coordinate tax assessments, audits, scrutiny matters and regulatory interactions in consultation with external advisors.

- Ensure timely filing of statutory returns and compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.

Audit & Internal Controls:

- Lead Statutory Audit, Tax Audit, Internal Audit and Internal Financial Controls (IFC) reviews.

- Ensure implementation and monitoring of effective financial controls and governance processes.

- Drive timely closure of audit observations and strengthen the overall control environment.

Budgeting & Financial Analysis:

- Support preparation of Annual Operating Plans, budgets, forecasts and business plans.

- Monitor financial performance against budgets and provide analysis of key business and operational variances.

- Support profitability analysis, cost optimization initiatives and performance improvement programs.

ERP & Process Excellence:

- Drive continuous improvement in finance processes, reporting systems and internal controls.

- Support SAP S/4HANA optimization, automation initiatives and finance transformation projects.

- Ensure effective utilization of ERP systems to enhance reporting accuracy and operational efficiency.

Stakeholder Management & Team Leadership:

- Partner with cross-functional teams to support business objectives and financial discipline.

- Lead, mentor and develop the Finance & Accounts team to build a high-performance culture.

- Foster strong working relationships with auditors, consultants, bankers and regulatory authorities.

Professional Qualifications:

- Chartered Accountant (CA) with 10+ years of progressive experience in Finance & Accounts within a manufacturing organization.

- Strong experience in financial accounting, reporting, taxation, audits, consolidation and internal controls.

- Exposure to multi-location operations and overseas subsidiaries will be preferred.

- Experience in automotive, engineering, industrial manufacturing or related sectors will be an advantage.

- Hands-on experience with SAP ERP, preferably SAP S/4HANA.

Technical Competencies:

- SAP S/4HANA / ERP Systems.

- Advanced MS Excel and Management Reporting.
