
Position Overview:.
- We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven "Assistant General Manager/Senior Manager - Supply Chain to lead our end-to-end supply chain operations for the Future Technology (Printed Electronics) business.
- The ideal candidate will be responsible for strategic material management, production planning, cost optimization and supplier development, ensuring seamless alignment between demand forecasts, procurement and manufacturing operations.
- This role demands a high degree of technical acumen, strategic foresight and strong vendor management skills to drive operational excellence, cost efficiency and supply chain resilience.
Business Division: Future Technology - Printed Electronics.
Function / Department: Supply Chain.
Experience: Minimum 10 Years of relevant experience in Supply Chain Management.
Key Responsibilities:
Material Planning & Production Support:
- Lead material and production planning activities aligned with project schedules and business demand.
- Conduct project-wise forecast analysis and ensure availability of materials for both new product development and mass production.
- Monitor inventory status including on-hand, open POs, and material in-transit to maintain optimal inventory levels.
- Oversee MRP runs, PR/PO releases, and ensure system accuracy and compliance with internal controls.
Procurement & Supplier Management:
- Drive vendor identification, evaluation, and development for both local and international suppliers.
- Conduct supplier assessments based on quality, delivery, cost, and compliance parameters.
- Negotiate commercial terms (payment terms, incoterms - CIF/FOB, etc.) ensuring cost competitiveness and risk mitigation.
- Explore alternate suppliers and parts for cost reduction and supply continuity.
- Identify potential sourcing partners in China and other low-cost regions for new and existing parts.
Cost Optimization & Simulation:
- Perform raw material cost simulation at partwise and project-wise levels.
- Execute cost-saving initiatives through alternate sourcing, process optimization, and logistics improvements.
- Drive initiatives for logistics cost reduction through mode optimization and strategic supplier collaboration.
Project Demand & Development Support:
- Ensure visibility of raw material readiness for new project launches and ongoing development activities.
- Collaborate with project teams to align material timelines with development milestones.
-Manage Sutsnax item development and ensure smooth transition from prototype to mass production.
Inventory & Risk Management:
- Manage EOL (End-of-Life) materials and shelf-life revalidation processes.
- Maintain visibility of critical materials and ensure proactive planning for shortages.
- Balance global holiday calendars and supplier lead times with material forecasts.
Required Skills & Competencies:
- Strong knowledge of Material Management, Procurement and Supply Chain Planning processes.
- Proficiency in SAP (MM/PP modules) and advanced Excel/analytical tools.
- Excellent vendor negotiation and contract management skills.
- Deep understanding of cost modeling, inventory optimization and production planning.
- Proven track record in project-based procurement and cost reduction initiatives.
- Excellent communication, leadership and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Willingness to travel as required for supplier audits, project reviews and business coordination.
Preferred Background:
- Hands-on experience managing Printed Electronics / Future Technology / Advanced Material categories preferred.
