Role Summary:
The Warehouse Deputy Manager is responsible for managing end-to-end warehouse operations, ensuring effective inventory control, compliance with quality and safety standards, and smooth coordination with internal stakeholders. The role focuses on operational efficiency, accuracy in stock management, and team supervision within a regulated pharmaceutical/manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily warehouse operations including receipt, storage, picking, packing, and dispatch
- Ensure accurate inventory control and stock reconciliation through physical and system checks
- Implement and monitor FIFO/FEFO practices as per pharmaceutical standards
- Supervise and guide warehouse staff to achieve productivity and compliance targets
- Ensure adherence to GMP, safety, and quality guidelines at all times
- Coordinate with production, QA, SCM, and logistics teams for seamless material flow
- Monitor warehouse space utilization and optimize storage layout
- Manage documentation related to inward, outward, batch tracking, and inventory records
- Handle warehouse equipment operations including forklifts and material handling tools
- Support audits, inspections, and compliance requirements

Required Skill Sets:
- Strong knowledge of warehouse operations and inventory management
- Hands-on experience in stock control, reconciliation, and cycle counting
- Familiarity with Warehouse Management Systems and ERP tools
- Understanding of GMP, safety, and quality standards in pharma/manufacturing
- Experience in handling forklifts and warehouse equipment
- Good leadership, team management, and coordination skills
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities
- Effective communication and documentation skills
Qualifications:
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business Administration, or a related field
- 46 years of relevant experience in warehouse operations
- Prior experience in pharmaceutical or manufacturing industry preferred
