About the Role:
The Warehouse Deputy Manager will be responsible for managing and coordinating all day-to-day warehouse operations, ensuring efficient inventory management, adherence to compliance standards, and timely movement of materials. The role requires strong leadership, operational excellence, and hands-on experience in managing warehouse systems within a pharmaceutical or manufacturing setup.
Key Responsibilities (KRAs):
- Supervise and oversee daily warehouse operations to ensure smooth functioning.
- Manage inventory control processes, including stock receipt, storage, and dispatch.
- Maintain accuracy in stock records and ensure regular cycle counts and physical verification.
- Coordinate material handling, packaging, and distribution activities in line with operational requirements.
- Monitor and optimize warehouse space utilization and material flow.
- Ensure adherence to Good Warehousing Practices (GWP) and regulatory compliance.
- Oversee forklift and equipment operations, ensuring safety and operational efficiency.
- Lead, train, and motivate warehouse staff to maintain productivity and discipline.
- Collaborate with procurement, production, and quality teams for seamless coordination.
- Implement and monitor SOPs for warehouse processes and ensure continuous improvement.
- Maintain accurate documentation related to stock movements and transactions.
- Monitor KPIs such as inventory accuracy, turnaround time, and dispatch efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with EHS (Environment, Health & Safety) standards within the warehouse.
- Identify areas for process optimization and cost reduction.
Required Skillsets:
- Strong expertise in warehouse operations, inventory management, and stock control.
- Good understanding of ERP/WMS systems for tracking and reporting.
- Proficiency in operations planning, scheduling, and material movement.
- Knowledge of forklift operations and warehouse equipment handling.
- Familiarity with pharmaceutical or manufacturing industry warehouse processes.
- Strong leadership and team management capabilities.
- Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Effective communication and coordination skills across departments.
- Commitment to maintaining safety, quality, and compliance standards.
