MTC Group - Engineering Manager - Production & Manufacturing

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to lead production engineering and manufacturing operations within a dynamic iron and steel manufacturing environment. The role requires driving operational excellence, optimizing production processes, leading cross-functional engineering initiatives, and ensuring the timely delivery of high-quality products while maintaining safety and regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

- Lead end-to-end engineering and manufacturing projects from planning through execution and production rollout.

- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity, quality, cost efficiency, and operational performance.

- Oversee production planning and coordinate with manufacturing teams to ensure timely achievement of production targets.

- Develop and implement manufacturing processes that improve efficiency while reducing downtime and waste.

- Collaborate with design, quality, procurement, maintenance, and supply chain teams to ensure seamless product development and production.

- Evaluate and implement new manufacturing technologies, equipment, and automation initiatives.

- Monitor production KPIs including Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE), yield, rejection rates, cycle time, and productivity.

- Conduct root cause analysis for production issues and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).

- Establish and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) and engineering documentation.

- Ensure adherence to quality standards, safety regulations, and environmental compliance across manufacturing operations.

- Coordinate with suppliers and vendors for sourcing machinery, components, and engineering materials while ensuring quality and cost optimization.

- Support new product introduction (NPI) activities, including process validation and production readiness.

- Lead engineering change management and process improvement initiatives.

- Mentor and develop production engineers and shop floor teams to build technical capabilities.

- Prepare engineering reports, production dashboards, and management presentations.
