Our dynamic and fast-growing company is seeking a talented Legal Manager to join Mensa's Legal & Compliance Team and help us drive success in a rapidly changing industry. - As the Legal Manager, you'll be responsible for drafting, reviewing, negotiating, and finalizing a wide range of complex agreements, from IP licensing and broadcasting to strategic partnerships and global joint ventures in addition to advising some of our fastest growing businesses on various legal issues ensuring that our business stays ahead of the curve in a constantly evolving legal landscape. - You'll have the opportunity to use your expertise in media laws and intellectual property to advise on the interpretation and application of key legal areas such as copyrights, trademarks, and more that are critical to our success. - Your skills in negotiating with CXO level professionals, senior in-house counsels, and law firm partners across various industries will be put to the test as you independently negotiate key business, commercial, and legal terms. - You'll also be responsible to advise senior management on complex legal issues and business risks. - This is a unique role for someone with a passion for growth and innovation, who is excited to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with like-minded professionals. Responsibilities : - Drafting and Negotiating legal agreements: You would be responsible for drafting and negotiating legal agreements such as general corporate, commercial agreements and IP related agreements with stakeholders including CXO level professionals, vendors, customers, and other third parties. - Providing strategic legal advice: You would need to provide legal advice and guidance to Mensa's businesses, management, and other stakeholders on complex legal issues. - Managing legal risks: You would need to identify and manage potential legal risks related to agreements to ensure that the Mensa and its various business interests are protected. - Collaborating with internal and external stakeholders: You would need to collaborate with other departments and external stakeholders, such as external counsels, consultants, and regulatory agencies, as needed to ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements. - You would need to stay up-to-date on relevant laws, regulations, and industry trends and advise on interpretation and application of a wide variety of legal areas including media laws, intellectual property, IT laws, data protection, payment regulations, advertising & marketing laws/regulations and more. - Drafting white papers for submission with the regulatory authorities on proposed legal framework. Required Qualification & Skills : - Excellent academic credentials, including a law degree ( LL.B/BA.LL.B) from a reputed law school in India - Between 6-8 years of post qualification experience, with experience in internet media / consumer internet/ telecommunications related corporate, commercial transactions and business operations support. - Hands on experience of information technology, intellectual property, media, internet, telecommunication and technology related business structuring and commercial contracts. - Preferably should have worked with a reputed law firm as well as the legal department of a reputed company. - Excellent drafting and negotiating skills. - Sound business, commercial and techno-legal acumen. - Ethical, with highest standards of integrity.
