You will work closely with various business stakeholders, interpret and ensure compliance with statutory requirements in India and abroad. Our Compliance Officer shall monitor regulatory trends and changes in all jurisdictions in which the Mensa operates and develop efficient global compliance systems. As our Legal Counsel, you will be responsible for Compliance management for Mensa and our group entities across the Globe. Duties/Responsibilities: - Monitor overall compliance status of Mensa group entities & related parties, compliance due diligence screenings on business associates and vendors. - Work with external consultants to procure applicable licenses, certifications, etc. Assist the teams in preparing the forms/registers, etc for statutory filings. Ensure all statutory and regulatory filings are completed within prescribed timelines. - Analysing the applicability of laws on various product lines and businesses and conducting legal research. - Drafting and preparing applications for obtaining applicable registrations and licences, liasisoning with regulatory authorities to obtain approvals. - Manage day to day compliance queries from business teams based on requirements set out by compliance tools and internal processes set up by the Compliance team. - Diligently provide periodic and adhoc updates on the global compliance status. Responsible for integrating newly acquired businesses with Mensa. - Arrange and implement inspections and audits from third-party organizations and regulatory bodies. - Work collaboratively with various internal teams on matters concerning compliance with local laws and regulations. Guide internal teams in development of policies and laying down of processes. - Continuously monitor worldwide regulations and emerging trends in the sector impacting Mensa. - Such other support as may be required by the Legal & Compliance team, from time to time. Required Skills/Abilities: - Excellent communication skills. Ability to efficiently collaborate with cross functional teams and simplify the compliance monitoring process. - Should be proactive and be able to efficiently manage multiple stakeholders. - Should be skilled at categorizing and efficiently managing data. Ability to ensure quality deliverables and strict adherence to timelines. - Ability to work collaboratively and effectively in a fast-paced environment with a diverse pool of internal stakeholders in particular the Operations, HR, Finance, Growth and Treasury teams. - Exceptional analytical and organizational skills, including the ability to manage complex assignments and timelines, exercising sound judgment and decision-making in prioritization of multiple deadlines. Education and Experience: - LLB degree from reputed institution. Prior experience in compliance management is mandatory. - Technology savvy and ability to navigate through new platforms, applications, and technologies. Proficient in project management and ability convert complex information into succinct summary.
