McDonald's India (South & West) is looking for Employee Relations experts to provide consultation and training in all areas of labor relations including compliance, avoidance of and solutions to people problems.   The role is required to ensure that each Restaurant Operations team has the skills, knowledge, training, and tools to manage and execute Statutory compliance in accordance to state laws.  Job responsibilities would include :  - Share feedback to the Payroll team and Regional Team/ Labour consultants in preventive maintenance steps they should take to be assured of labor laws compliance and avoidance of third party intervention.  - Maintain awareness of pending labor changes that affect restaurants, including restaurant management and department heads, and communicating such changes pro-actively.  - Ensure that McDonald's basic people practices- standards and preventive actions are on-going in the restaurants / head office   - Ensure that the restaurant teams and HR are trained on and correctly implement all applicable labor laws.   - Monitor implementation to ensure compliance.   - Practise preventive Labor Relations including developing and implementing a strategy in each restaurant to prevent problems that could attract third party intervention.  - Build a strong and cohesive partnership with labor law advocates, etc.  - Establish good relations with government bodies such as Department of Labor and ESIC, PF and keeps abreast of government aided programs etc.  - Continuously build contacts and tie-ups with outside groups to promote activities that will enhance community relations and thus develop good image and instill pride among members of the organization.  Applicants from Hospitality or Retail formats will be preferred.
