Masoom Group is a diversified and respected conglomerate with established and growing verticals in Food, Infrastructure, and Biofuels. This role offers the opportunity to take complete financial leadership of one of our core, independent verticals, steering its financial strategy, performance, and growth trajectory.


Position Overview:


We are seeking a seasoned and strategic Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to serve as the financial anchor for one of our key business divisions. The ideal candidate will be a business leader first, with a proven track record of partnering with CEOs to drive profitability, scale operations, and ensure robust fiscal governance in a complex, industrial or manufacturing environment. This is a hands-on, leadership-critical role designed for an executive who thrives in building and steering finance functions in dynamic, growth-oriented organizations.


Key Responsibilities:

1. Strategic Finance & Business Leadership:


- Act as the key strategic advisor to the board and the verticals leadership team on all financial and commercial matters.


- Develop and execute the verticals long-term financial strategy, ensuring alignment with ambitious growth and market expansion goals.


- Lead the annual operating plan (AOP), long-range planning (LRP), and rolling forecasting processes with a focus on accuracy and business insight.


2. Financial Control, Reporting & Compliance:


- Assume overall responsibility for all financial reporting, accounting operations, and controllership for the vertical, ensuring strict adherence to Ind AS/IFRS.


- Establish and monitor a strong internal control environment to safeguard assets and ensure process integrity.


- Ensure timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closes, presenting results to the Board and Group leadership.


3. Performance Management & Value Creation:


- Drive business performance through advanced financial analysis, KPI dashboards, and actionable insights into revenue, margins, and cost structures.


- Lead initiatives for profitability improvement, working capital optimization, and capital expenditure (CAPEX) efficiency.


- Evaluate strategic projects, mergers, acquisitions, or partnerships from a financial diligence and integration standpoint.


4. Treasury, Funding & Capital Management:


- Oversee all treasury operations, including cash flow forecasting, liquidity management, and banking relationships for the vertical.


- Collaborate with the Group CFO on structured fundraising (debt/equity) to fuel business expansion and strategic initiatives.


- Optimize the divisions capital structure and cost of capital.


5. Risk Management & Corporate Governance:


- Identify, assess, and mitigate financial, operational, and compliance risks specific to the industry.


- Ensure full statutory, regulatory, and tax compliance for the vertical.


- Serve as the key liaison for internal, statutory, and cost auditors.


6. Leadership & Organizational Development:


- Build, mentor, and lead a high-caliber finance and accounts team capable of supporting scalable growth.


- Foster a culture of excellence, ethics, and continuous improvement within the finance function.


- Partner with the Group finance team on policy alignment, system implementations (ERP), and best practice sharing.


Candidate Profile:


- Chartered Accountant (CA) / MBA (Finance) or equivalent qualification.


- 18 - 25 years of progressive experience in finance leadership roles.


- Exposure to manufacturing, energy, or infrastructure sectors preferred.


- Strong expertise in corporate finance, treasury, and compliance.


- Proven track record in strategic decision-making and stakeholder management.
