Role Overview

The Vice President Finance will be responsible for providing overall financial governance, statutory compliance, planning & control, and corporate governance leadership for MGN India.

This is a strategic leadership role accountable for ensuring robust financial controls, regulatory compliance, governance frameworks, audit management, and financial reporting, while partnering closely with senior leadership to support organizational strategy, operational excellence, and long-term growth.

The role also oversees the Company Secretarial function and manages critical statutory, tax, transfer pricing, board governance, and banking activities for a large organization (1900+ resources).

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Governance & Reporting:

- Lead and ensure overall financial governance and statutory financial reporting for MGN India.

- Ensure strict adherence to company policies, internal controls, and regulatory frameworks.

- Oversee preparation and finalization of financial statements and accounts in compliance with local laws and accounting standards.

- Provide periodic financial insights and updates to senior leadership and the Board.

Statutory Compliance & Regulatory Oversight:

- Own and manage all statutory compliances, ensuring zero tolerance for regulatory lapses.

- Oversee compliance related to Income Tax, GST, Transfer Pricing, Corporate Law, and other applicable regulations.

- Manage and coordinate statutory audits, internal audits, and regulatory reviews.

- Ensure timely closure of audit findings and regulatory observations.

Planning, Control & Performance Management:

- Lead financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and cost control processes for MGN India.

- Drive planning & control frameworks to support business performance and strategic decision-making.

- Monitor financial performance, variances, and risks, and provide actionable insights to leadership.

Company Secretarial & Corporate Governance:

Oversee the Company Secretarial function including:

- Board and Committee meetings

- AGMs and statutory filings

- Corporate governance compliance

- Ensure effective governance across Board processes, regulatory filings, and shareholder communications.

Tax, Transfer Pricing & Banking:

- Lead tax strategy and compliance, including direct tax, indirect tax, and transfer pricing matters.

- Coordinate with external advisors and authorities on tax and regulatory matters.

- Oversee banking relationships, treasury operations, and funding arrangements.

Process Excellence & Leadership:

- Drive process improvements, automation, and efficiency initiatives across finance and governance functions.

- Build and lead a high-performing finance, compliance, and secretarial leadership team.

- Act as a trusted advisor to the CEO, leadership team, and Board, supporting organizational strategy and transformation.

Key Result Areas (KRAs):

- Strong and compliant financial governance framework across MGN India

- Zero critical lapses in statutory, tax, and regulatory compliance

- Timely and accurate financial reporting and audit closures

- Effective planning, budgeting, and cost control outcomes

- High standards of corporate governance and board effectiveness

- Improved operational efficiency through process optimization initiatives

- Strong leadership and development of the finance governance team

Key Requirements:

Qualification & Experience:

- Chartered Accountant (CA) Mandatory.

- Extensive experience in senior finance leadership roles with strong exposure to:

Financial governance & reporting

Statutory compliance & audits

Tax & transfer pricing

Corporate governance & secretarial oversight

- Proven experience managing finance for large organizations / multi-entity structures (1000+ employees preferred).

Technical & Functional Expertise:

Deep knowledge of:

- Indian accounting standards and corporate laws

- Taxation, transfer pricing, and regulatory compliance

- Financial planning, control, and performance management

- Strong experience with statutory audits, board governance, and regulatory interfaces.

Leadership & Stakeholder Skills:

- Strong executive presence and stakeholder management capabilities.

- Ability to partner with CXOs, Board members, auditors, regulators, and bankers.

- Proven track record in leading large teams and driving transformation initiatives.

- Excellent communication, decision-making, and strategic thinking skills.
