
Overview:
We are seeking a driven and results-oriented Relationship Manager/Business Development Manager to manage and significantly grow our business volume through strategic channel partners within an assigned territory. The primary focus of this role is achieving ambitious disbursement and revenue targets while ensuring high portfolio quality and compliant business acquisition.

Key Responsibilities and Job Duties:
Business Growth and Target Achievement:
- Manage and grow business volume and market share through effective utilization of multiple channel partners, including Direct Selling Agents (DSA), Channel Partners, and Connectors in the assigned territory.
- Achieve disbursement and revenue targets consistently by developing and executing effective sourcing strategies.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to sourcing volume, portfolio quality, and channel productivity.
Channel Partner Management & Expansion:
- Identify, evaluate, onboard, and train new channel partners and agents to significantly strengthen the business reach and distribution network.
- Maintain strong, productive, and long-lasting relationships with existing internal stakeholders and external partners to maximize channel efficiency.
- Drive consistent training and enablement for channel partners on product knowledge, policy updates, and digital sourcing tools.
Process & Compliance Management:
- Work closely with internal teams including Credit, Operations, and Legal teams to ensure smooth application processing, quick decision-making, and adherence to defined Turnaround Times (TAT).
- Ensure all business acquisition practices are digital and policy-compliant to mitigate risks and maintain integrity.
- Maintain clear communication channels and facilitate seamless coordination between external partners and internal processing units.
Portfolio Quality and Strategy:
- Ensure portfolio quality by strategically sourcing high-yield, profitable cases and focusing on customers/segments with low delinquency rates.
- Monitor market trends and competitor activities to gather intelligence, identify opportunities, and drive proactive business strategies and product positioning.
- Provide timely feedback to management on market dynamics, competitive pressures, and channel performance.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
Experience: 3 plus years in Channel Sales, Business Development, or relationship management within the financial services sector.
Channel Expertise: Proven track record of successfully managing and expanding networks of DSAs, Channel Partners, and Connectors.
Results Orientation: Demonstrated ability to achieve and exceed challenging disbursement and revenue targets.
Stakeholder Management: Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and relationship-building skills with both internal and external parties.
Compliance Mindset: Strong understanding of compliance requirements and the ability to drive quality, ethical, and policy-compliant sourcing.
Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
