Role Overview:

We are seeking a strategic and technically adept Product Manager Agriculture Drones to lead the full product lifecycle of our agriculture-focused drone solutions. This pivotal role demands a blend of deep domain expertise, product intuition, regulatory acumen, and user empathy. You will be responsible for shaping product strategy, identifying market opportunities, and driving cross-functional execution to enable scalable, sustainable agricultural outcomes powered by drone technologies.

Key Responsibilities:

Product Strategy & Vision:

- Define and champion the long-term product vision and roadmap for agriculture drones (e.g., aerial spraying, precision seeding, crop health monitoring).

- Translate agricultural sector needs, policy mandates, and technological trends into an actionable product strategy.

- Continuously assess competitive landscape to ensure product leadership and innovation.

User & Market Insights:

- Engage directly with farmers, FPOs, agri-input corporations, drone-as-a-service (DaaS) operators, and government agencies to capture deep user insights.

- Analyze seasonal agronomy trends, crop-specific challenges, and region-wise use cases to tailor product development.

Product Development & Execution:

- Collaborate with Engineering, R&D, Embedded Systems, and Software teams to convert product requirements into high-performing, scalable drone solutions.

- Define core product KPIs such as operational efficiency, field coverage, battery and payload metrics, and lifecycle cost.

- Partner with Sales, Marketing, and GTM teams to build positioning strategies, pricing models, and market launch plans.

Compliance & Policy Alignment:

- Ensure all products adhere to DGCA norms, RPAS guidelines, and MoAFW compliance standards.

- Stay abreast of evolving government schemes, subsidy mechanisms, and policy frameworks influencing drone adoption.

Feedback & Continuous Improvement:

- Establish robust feedback loops through pilot deployments, user interviews, and field testing.

- Lead structured product iterations through data-backed evaluations and stakeholder input.

Training & Ecosystem Enablement:

- Drive creation of training modules, technical documentation, SOPs, and operational checklists in partnership with Customer Success teams.

- Support development of drone operator certification programs, ensuring safe and standardized field usage.

Qualifications & Experience:

- Bachelors degree in Engineering, AgriTech, or a relevant technical field; MBA or Masters in Agri-business/Technology Management is a strong plus.

- 5+ years of product management or technology leadership experience in agriculture, agri-tech, or drone ecosystem.

In-depth knowledge of:

- Precision farming technologies & practices

- Commercial drone systems (hardware + software)

- Agri-policy, regulatory landscape, and subsidy schemes in India

- Proven track record of leading cross-functional teams in agile product development environments.

- Strong analytical capabilities with experience in defining product KPIs, growth metrics, and market sizing models.

Preferred Skills:

- Experience with drones used in spraying, seeding, and multispectral crop diagnostics.

- Familiarity with GIS, remote sensing, NDVI mapping, and data-driven agri-advisory tools.

- Exposure to working with government stakeholders, policy bodies, and farmer cooperatives.
