Position Title: Head - Finance & Accounts


Department: Finance & Accounts


Reporting to: CFO

Organizational Context:


- Lead and oversee the organization's entire Finance, Accounts, and Taxation functions,
ensuring compliance, efficiency, and financial integrity across all operations.

Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities:


- Oversee Financial Reporting, Direct & Indirect Taxation, Accounts Payable/Receivable, Audit, MIS, and Budgeting.

- Establish and maintain robust financial and cost accounting systems to ensure accurate and timely management reporting and performance analysis.

- Ensure timely closure of books of accounts and reconciliation as per applicable accounting standards.

- Prepare and review all financial statements-income statements, balance sheets, shareholder and regulatory reports-and present final accounts to the CFO for approval.

- Coordinate all audit activities including statutory, tax, internal, and special audits; respond to audit observations and ensure timely closure of findings.

- Lead the annual budgeting process in collaboration with vertical/department heads and monitor variances against approved budgets.

- Monitor cash flow and fund flow, manage financial costs, and facilitate decision- making on disbursements and prioritizations.

- Strengthen systems and processes for Payables and Receivables, and develop effective credit policies balancing organizational and stakeholder interests.

- Ensure timely vendor payments and customer collections.

- Drive Direct and Indirect tax planning and compliance, ensuring optimal tax positions and adherence to all statutory requirements.

- Liaise with Legal and Secretarial teams to ensure proper corporate governance and adherence to accounting norms.

- Develop and standardize MIS reporting across units to provide management with actionable insights.

- Support the CFO in identifying revenue leakages, cost overruns, and opportunities for financial optimization through MIS analysis.

- Drive cost control initiatives and improve overall financial efficiency.

Key Requirements:


- Proven experience leading the complete Finance, Accounts, and Taxation functions in an organization with a turnover of - 500 Cr or above.

- Strong leadership experience, managing teams of 20+ professionals.

- Expertise in Financial Reporting (IND AS), Corporate Finance, Direct and Indirect Taxation (GST), Treasury Management, Budgeting, MIS, and Data Analysis.

- Sound knowledge of Accounts Receivable and Payable management, fund management, and other day-to-day financial operations.

- Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint for financial analysis and presentation.
