Job Requirement:
This role requires a strategic leader with a strong background in manufacturing, process optimization, and team leadership. This leadership position will play a pivotal role in leading the facility in India, driving efficiency, fostering communication, and balancing the demands of both the workforce and the business.
Responsibilities:
- Understand and execute the Manufacturing strategy, design of organization structure, workforce planning, capability frameworks to drive productivity, efficiency and strong culture of safety and accountability. Collaboration with other teams and support functions will be required for consistency.
- Develop end to end set up and operationalization of manufacturing facility including infrastructure readiness. Lead and manage the manufacturing department, including supply chain, development build and test, operations and project management. Build trust and respect by being a visible, approachable presence daily, and ensuring employees feel heard and supported.
- Collaborate with the relevant country teams to ensure achievable production schedules, quality and cost standards and support services are agreed and executed accordingly. Collaborate with the global procurement team on developing and maintaining excellent supplier relationships to optimize inbound supply chain, meeting the needs of our production schedule, and ensuring liaison with the customer on their forecasts and deliveries.
What we're looking:
- 18+ years of experience in manufacturing operations with strong grasp of processes, efficiency systems and end to end plant management, 5-7 years in senior leadership and green field or large-scale projects preferred.
- Engineering Graduate (Mechanical/ Electrical or Industrial) with a master's degree in engineering/ Operations/ Business Management desirable.
- Proven ability to build, lead, scale diverse teams, fostering collaboration, accountability and strong safety culture. Authentic and inclusive communicator who can effectively engage with a global and diverse workforce
- A leader who gains respect from the bottom up, valuing input from all levels while providing clear direction, skilled at creating a culture of involvement and clarity for the workforce, ensuring they understand what's ahead and their role in achieving it.
- Strategic yet hands-on leadership - able to balance long term vision, future trends with on-ground execution in fast paced, evolving environments.
