
Designation : Total Rewards Manager, APAM (Asia Pacific , Africa, and Middle East )
VISION AND KEY STAKES:
This is a strategic and highly analytical Compensation & Benefits role to lead our total rewards strategy and execution across the diverse and high-growth Asia Pacific (including India), Africa, and Middle East (APAM) regions.
This is a critical role responsible for designing, implementing, and managing C&B programs that are competitive, equitable, and compliant across dozens of unique legal and cultural environments. You will be the subject matter expert, balancing global consistency with regional/local requirements to ensure our total rewards strategy effectively attracts, motivates, and retains top talent, thereby driving our business objectives.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Regional C&B Partner:
- Develop Regional Programs/plan/framework : Partner with global C&B and regional HR team to design and implement a total rewards strategy that aligns with business goals and accounts for the specific challenges and opportunities within APAM.
- Program Design: Design, review, and enhance compensation structures, including base pay scales, incentive programs, tax friendly structure etc.
- Benefits Management: Oversee the management and execution of regional benefits programs (health, wellness, retirement, insurance, and perquisites), ensuring they are cost-effective, competitive, and valued by employees.

ob Architecture: Manage and maintain the regional job architecture, including job leveling, grading, and titling, ensuring internal equity and consistent with global grading structure.
2. Analysis & Benchmarking:
- Market Intelligence: Lead all C&B benchmarking activities for the region, managing relationships with survey providers to gather and analyze market data.
- Data-Driven Insights: Conduct in-depth analysis of compensation data to identify trends, gaps, and areas for improvement. Model the financial impact of all C&B program changes.
- Pay Equity: Proactively conduct pay equity audits to ensure fairness and compliance with local regulations.
- Performance & Reward: Champion the "pay-for-performance" philosophy, ensuring a clear link between compensation, performance management, and business results.
3. Operations & Execution:
- Annual Cycles: Manage the end-to-end annual compensation review process for the region, including merit increases, bonus payouts, and equity awards, ensuring seamless execution and communication.
- Payroll Management: Select and manage regional and local benefits brokers, consultants, and providers, ensuring high-quality service and cost-effectiveness, in alignment with global team.
- Offer Support: Partner closely with Talent Acquisition and HR managers to structure competitive and equitable compensation packages for new hires, promotions, and transfers.
- Systems: Ensure data integrity within the HRIS for all compensation and benefits information.
- Payroll structure and management : Exploring and execution of centralized Payroll management.
4. Compliance & Governance:
- Legal Compliance: Serve as the regional expert on all C&B-related legislation. Ensure all programs are fully compliant with the complex and varied statutory requirements (e.g., social security, minimum wage, taxation, retirement schemes) across all operating countries in APAM.
- Policy Management: Develop, document, and maintain all regional C&B policies and guidelines.
Risk Management: Identify and mitigate C&B-related risks, including legal exposure and reputational damage.
5. Stakeholder Management & Communication:
- Business Advisory: Act as the primary C&B consultant and subject matter expert for senior business leaders and the HR team in the region.
- Communication: Develop and implement clear communication strategies to help employees understand the full value of their total rewards package.
- Training: Train regional HR and managers on compensation philosophy, policies, and best practices.
- Measurement: Monitor and report on the effectiveness of communication initiatives using key metrics (e.g., open rates, intranet engagement, employee feedback) and use data to refine future strategies.
EXPERIENCE & COMPETENCIES :
Expertise:
- Must have direct, hands-on C&B management experience across multiple countries.
- Deep understanding of the diverse cultural, economic, and regulatory landscapes is essential.

- Exceptional quantitative, analytical, and problem-solving skills with a strong "storytelling" ability (translating data into insights).
