Role Overview:
- We are looking for an experienced Payroll Manager / Senior Payroll Manager to lead and manage end-to-end payroll operations.
- This role requires deep expertise in payroll processing, statutory compliance, employee settlements, and stakeholder coordination.
- The ideal candidate must have strong experience handling payroll for Workmen (WC) and Business Contract (BC) categories while ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
Payroll Processing
- Prepare and manage the monthly payroll calendar
- Collect, validate, and consolidate payroll inputs (joiners, exits, LOP, CTC changes)
- Validate CTC structures, salary registers, and variance reports
- Process salary JVs, TDS payments, and coordinate with Finance
- Share payslips, salary registers, and required reports with HR & plant teams
Final Settlement (FnF)
- Collect FnF inputs including notice recovery and leave encashment
- Validate registers and reconcile with FCTC trackers
- Prepare FnF JVs, coordinate with Treasury for payouts
- Share FnF slips and reports with stakeholders
Statutory Compliance
- Ensure timely PF, PT, NPS, SAF, Gratuity & TDS payments
- Coordinate for challans, compliance reports & filings
- Maintain statutory registers and support audits
FCTC Management
- Validate FCTC registers and prepare JVs
- Coordinate with vendors & Treasury for payments
- Maintain accurate trackers and ensure timely fund movement
Administrative & HR Support
- Maintain master data: job codes, departments, cost centers, employee/vendor codes
- Approve resignations, separations, and no-dues clearance
- Manage transfers, supervisor changes, and system updates
- Support HRBPs during goal-setting, performance cycles & reporting
Additional Responsibilities
- Handle employee payroll queries
- Provide data for actuarial valuation, ESOPs, statutory challans
- Support audits, vendor payments, and error resolutions
- Deliver payroll MIS dashboards & compliance reports to management
Skills & Competencies
- Strong knowledge of payroll laws: PF, PT, NPS, Gratuity, TDS, Bonus, LWF
- Expertise in SAP/HRIS and vendor management
- Excellent analytical, reconciliation, and problem-solving skills
- Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities
- Detail-oriented with high accuracy and confidentiality standards
