As the Senior Manager - Hunting, you will stand at the forefront of the revenue engine, driving net-new merchant acquisition for the company's cross-border payments stack. This critical role focuses on identifying, pursuing, and closing mid-market and enterprise merchants across high-priority verticals including D2C, Travel, SaaS, Education, and Marketplaces.

This is an ideal opportunity for a high-performing, results-oriented B2B sales professional passionate about helping Indian businesses expand their footprint globally.

Key Responsibilities:

1) New Merchant Acquisition: Own and execute the end-to-end sales cycle for net-new merchants-from targeted prospecting and pitching to complex commercial negotiations and final closures.

2) Pipeline Development: Build and maintain a robust, predictable sales pipeline through disciplined outbound prospecting, ecosystem partnerships, referrals, and active participation in industry events.

3) Consultative & Solution Selling: Diagnose complex merchant pain points surrounding international card acceptance, FX markups, settlement timelines, compliance, and chargebacks to position tailored payment solutions.

4) CXO Engagement: Lead high-level discovery and solutioning discussions with Founders, CFOs, Finance Heads, and Payments Leaders across enterprise accounts.

5) Commercial Structuring: Negotiate Merchant Discount Rates (MDR), FX margins, custom payment constructs, and settlement terms aligned with internal financial guidelines.

6) Cross-functional Collaboration: Partner closely with internal Product, Risk, Compliance, and Onboarding teams to structure operationally viable and commercially lucrative deals.

7) Pipeline Hygiene & Forecasting: Maintain data discipline within CRM platforms (Salesforce/HubSpot) to manage forecasts and report weekly progress against metrics.

8) Seamless Account Handover: Ensure a comprehensive transition of signed accounts to the Account Management team, transferring complete business context to eliminate post-sale friction.

9) Revenue Ownership: Take full accountability for delivering quarterly Transaction Processed Volume (TPV) and revenue targets.

What We Are Looking For

1) Experience: 5-8 years of total B2B corporate sales or business development experience, with at least 3 years directly within payments, payment aggregators, fintech, SaaS, or enterprise banking solutions.

2) Domain Knowledge: Strong understanding of India's payments landscape, including PA/PG licensing frameworks, card networks, UPI infrastructure, cross-border remittance flows, and EXIM regulations.

3) Enterprise Hunting Track Record: Proven history of consistently meeting or exceeding net-new business acquisition targets by pitching directly to C-suite decision-makers.

4) Commercial Acumen: Exceptional comfort with pricing constructs, including MDR, FX economics, virtual accounts, multi-currency settlements, and structured payout models.

5) Education: Bachelor's degree is required; an MBA from a premier institute is preferred.

Preferred Qualifications:

1) Prior experience working within a cross-border payments platform, payment gateway, or a neobank serving exporters.

2) Existing, active professional relationships with established Indian D2C brands, travel/OTA finance teams, or tech SaaS CFOs.

3) Direct exposure to international acquiring networks, multi-currency settlement products, and managing lead generation via channel partners, consultants, or CAs.
