Manager - Risk Management - Capital Markets

Job Purpose:

The role involves identifying, analyzing, and managing financial risks across capital market activities, with strong exposure to auctions, bonds, commodities, hedge funds, and derivatives. The candidate will support the Head of Risk in ensuring effective risk frameworks, controls, and regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

- Identify, assess, and monitor market, credit, and liquidity risks across investment portfolios.

- Analyze risk exposure related to auctions, bonds, commodities, hedge funds, and derivative instruments.

- Develop and maintain risk models, limits, and stress-testing frameworks.

- Monitor market movements and assess their impact on portfolios and trading positions.

- Prepare risk reports, dashboards, and MIS for senior management and the Head of Risk.

- Ensure compliance with internal risk policies and regulatory guidelines.

- Work closely with trading, investment, treasury, and compliance teams to mitigate risks proactively.

- Support risk evaluation for new products, strategies, and investment opportunities.

- Review counterparty risk and exposure limits on an ongoing basis.

Key Skills & Competencies:

- Strong understanding of capital markets and financial instruments.

- Hands-on knowledge of derivatives, bonds, commodities, hedge funds, and auction mechanisms.

- Proficiency in risk assessment, stress testing, and scenario analysis.

- Analytical mindset with strong attention to detail.

- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

- Ability to work independently and report insights clearly to senior leadership.

Educational Qualification:

MBA (Finance) / CA / CFA / FRM or equivalent qualification preferred.
