Our client is a globally reputed multinational organization engaged in the manufacturing of seamless tubes and pipes, serving critical sectors such as energy, aerospace, and engineering.

The company is focused on technology-led industrial excellence, with major ongoing initiatives in greenfield and brownfield expansions to strengthen its India operations.

This position will play a key leadership role in executing these expansion projects and driving lean manufacturing excellence.

About the Role:

An experienced Projects Head / Project Manager is required to lead and coordinate the setup of a new greenfield industrial plant, brownfield upgradation, and industrialization of tubular products.

This role will act as a bridge between the plant (business unit) and the customer/sales team, ensuring seamless project execution, milestone tracking, and adherence to industry compliance standards.

The position requires prior experience as a Plant Head (preferably in an aerospace company) and a strong background in greenfield project execution.

Key Responsibilities:

Project Planning & Execution:

- Define project scope, goals, and deliverables in alignment with business objectives.

- Develop detailed project plans, timelines, and budgets.

- Ensure projects are executed within scope, time, and budget constraints.

Stakeholder Communication & Coordination:

- Act as the key point of contact between internal teams, customers, and vendors.

- Conduct regular progress meetings and update stakeholders on project status.

- Address and resolve project-related issues proactively.

Risk Management & Compliance:

- Identify potential project risks and implement mitigation strategies.

- Ensure compliance with applicable aerospace industry regulations and quality standards.

Lean Manufacturing:

- Lead global initiatives and implement cost optimisation and quality improvement programs.

- Lead and implement productivity improvement programs.

- Identify and implement ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) projects.

- Drive OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness) and productivity improvement initiatives.

- Prepare project reports, documentation, and presentations for management.

Engineering & Plant Maintenance:

- Lead strategies for best-in-class plant maintenance practices.

- Implement maintenance ERP and spares management systems.

- Conduct health and safety audits of equipment.

- Product Qualification & Regulatory Approvals

- Oversee industrialization of investments, including planning of trial production and handover to the production unit.

- Plan tooling, consumables, and spares for successful industrialization.

Qualification:

- Bachelors or Masters degree in Aerospace, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering.

- Prior experience in setting up a manufacturing plant or handling greenfield projects.

Experience:

- Minimum 15 years of experience in Project Management, Engineering, or Manufacturing.

- Minimum 5-7 years of experience in a senior plant leadership role (GM/Director level).

- Strong exposure to seamless tubes & pipes manufacturing is mandatory.

- Proven experience in managing teams.

Key Skills & Competencies:

- Strong project management skills (PMP/PRINCE2 certification preferred).

- Experience in engineering/manufacturing project execution.

- Excellent stakeholder and cross-functional team coordination.

- In-depth knowledge of aerospace quality and compliance standards (AS9100, NADCAP).

- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.

- Proficiency in MS Project, Primavera, or other project management tools.
