Role Overview:

We are seeking a seasoned HR Payroll Manager to lead our payroll operations and compliance framework in Mumbai. In this role, you will be responsible for the end-to-end management of payroll processing, ensuring absolute accuracy and timeliness for our diverse workforce. You will work closely with finance teams, external auditors, and senior leadership to streamline compensation structures and maintain rigorous adherence to statutory regulations. By driving operational excellence in HRIS management and taxation, you will directly impact employee satisfaction and mitigate organizational risk, ensuring our business remains compliant and fiscally efficient as we scale.

Key Responsibilities:

- Manage the end-to-end payroll cycle for the organization to ensure all employees are compensated accurately and on time, maintaining high levels of trust and operational stability.

- Oversee comprehensive HR compliance and statutory audits to ensure the company adheres to all local labour laws and regulatory requirements, minimizing legal and financial exposure.

- Lead the optimization of SAP Payroll and HRIS systems to automate manual workflows, thereby increasing data integrity and reporting efficiency for stakeholders.

- Design and implement competitive compensation and benefits strategies that align with market trends and internal business goals to support talent retention.

- Coordinate with internal finance teams and external tax authorities to manage complex taxation filings, ensuring full transparency and adherence to corporate governance standards.

Required Skillset:

- Demonstrated expertise in managing large-scale payroll operations and HRIS platforms, specifically SAP Payroll, with a deep understanding of complex taxation and statutory compliance frameworks.

- Proven ability to interpret and apply evolving labour laws to organizational policies, ensuring the company remains compliant in a dynamic regulatory environment.

- Strong analytical mindset with the ability to translate complex compensation data into actionable insights for senior management and stakeholders.

- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective collaboration with cross-functional teams and the ability to manage sensitive employee queries with professionalism.

- A minimum of 8 to 10 years of professional experience in HR operations, with a track record of leading teams and managing high-stakes audits in a fast-paced corporate environment.

- Educational background in Human Resources, Finance, or a related field, complemented by a proactive approach to working in an on-site environment in Mumbai.
