Position: Operations Manager
Location: New Delhi, India
Basic Functions:
Client is largest recycler and largest manufacturer of steel and steel products, is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Operations Manager.
The successful candidate must be a champion of Client culture and be able to instill, cultivate and advance our culture within a start-up environment.
The Operations Manager must consistently monitor production and supply chain operations, identify areas for improvement, and implement strategies to make operations as safe and efficient as possible.
As a member of the senior leadership team, the Operations Manager will be responsible in leading efforts to continually improve our safety, quality, cost, productivity, and profitability.
Duties of the successful candidate include but are not limited to the following:
- Safely lead and direct all operations in executing clients long-term growth strategy.
- Ensure strict adherence to safety, quality and environmental procedures and regulations.
- Manage the production schedule, including shift schedules and raw material requirements.
- Best-mark against/work with other divisions to continually improve operating results.
- Lead Division in meeting financial objectives to include profitability, cost-management, and capital investment planning.
- Maintain good teammate relations and adherence to company policy, take proper and judicious disciplinary measures when required.
- Maintain automation at state-of-the art level.
- Provide ongoing teammate mentoring, coaching, training, and development.
Safety is the most important part of all jobs; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards always.
Detailed Selection Criteria:
Minimum Qualifications:
- Able to communicate in English.
- A minimum of five years of supervisory and/or management experience.
- Willingness and ability to travel internationally on short notice, as needed, to support the Division.
- Excellent mentoring, coaching and people management skills with five years or more of experience with direct reports.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in leading a large team of people.
- Experience working and leading in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience working in the utilities industry is a plus.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics365 software.
