Location : Sarigam, Vapi, Gujarat

Industry : Agrochemical / Chemical / Bulk Drug Manufacturing

Position : Manager - Mechanical Maintenance

Qualification : B.E. (Mechanical Engineering)

Experience : Minimum 11+ years in Plant Maintenance of Agrochemical / Chemical / Bulk Drug plants

Role Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled Manager - Mechanical Maintenance to lead and oversee the reliability, efficiency, and upkeep of all plant mechanical systems and equipment. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance in a process manufacturing environment, ensuring maximum uptime and compliance with safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:

- Lead and manage all mechanical maintenance activities for rotating and static equipment across the plant.

- Develop and implement preventive and predictive maintenance schedules to minimize downtime.

- Monitor and troubleshoot breakdowns to ensure timely corrective actions and smooth plant operations.

- Manage utilities, boilers, pumps, compressors, agitators, pipelines, reactors, and material handling systems.

- Ensure compliance with statutory requirements, audits, and safety standards (Factory Act, ISO, etc.).

- Coordinate with production, EHS, and project teams for smooth execution of maintenance activities.

- Drive cost optimization, energy conservation, and reliability improvement initiatives.

- Lead a team of engineers, supervisors, and technicians to deliver maintenance excellence.

- Plan and monitor spares inventory, AMC contracts, and vendor management.

- Implement continuous improvement practices and support plant expansion/modification projects.

Key Skills & Attributes:

- Strong expertise in maintenance of mechanical equipment in chemical / agrochemical / bulk drug industries.

- Hands-on experience in root cause analysis, reliability engineering, and TPM practices.

- Excellent leadership, team management, and problem-solving abilities.

- Knowledge of SAP/ERP-based maintenance systems preferred.

- Strong focus on safety, compliance, and operational excellence.
