Manager - Legal - In-house Counsel - LLM/LLB

The key expectation from the person in this role is to act as in-house counsel delivering high quality, comprehensive, authoritative legal service. It is essential that the person develops and maintains excellent relationships with internal customers (business leaders) to become a legal business partner.

Key responsibilities include :

Providing Legal Services to Businesses:

- Providing a comprehensive and high quality in-house legal service, across a broad range of legal issues to internal customers within the organization

- Drafting and negotiation of contracts, management of contractual disputes and efforts for resolution of the same.

- Management and resolution of other contentious issues, to a satisfactory conclusion, whenever they occur.

- Detailed, in-depth analysis of legal documents and of work situations that have a legal dimension.

- Ensuring all customer activities are in line with legal requirements and meets specifications within the organization and risks are mitigated appropriately.

Proactive engagement with business teams to:

- Identification of the issues while advising and then introducing processes and monitoring mechanism.

- Developing and implementing best practices from other similar industries, organize and conduct awareness sessions etc.

Experience:

- Experience as an in-house lawyer or similar position for 6 to 8 years.

- Sound working knowledge of Indian business environment and related legalities.

- Auto/Aerospace Industry Experience of around 2-3 years will be an added advantage

Education Qualifications:

Essential:

- Qualified lawyer - LLM/LLB from reputed law institutes or national law schools.

- Handling Pre-Litigation matters

- Handle dealer issues, pre-litigation customer issues and other legal issues pertaining to various Area Offices / Zonal Offices of the Company
