Manager - Legal - FinTech Startup

We are currently retained by a leading FinTech startup to hire a Legal Manager, who will lead legal and regulatory compliance strategies while advising senior management and ensuring adherence to regulations.

Key responsibilities include efficiently drafting, reviewing, negotiating, and managing contracts, handling high-stakes negotiations with regulatory bodies and key clients, and developing and implementing policies and governance frameworks while proactively identifying and mitigating legal risks.

The role will include:

- Drafting, reviewing & negotiating commercial contracts, in the fintech space.

- Lead legal and compliance strategies and advising senior management.

- Handle critical negotiations with regulators and key clients.

- Provide legal counsel to Product, Finance, HR, and other departments.

- Mentor junior legal team members while shaping policies and governance frameworks to ensure regulatory compliance.

To fit the bill, you must have:

- 5+ years of legal experience in Fintech space

- Experience in end to end contract management

- Deep understanding of financial, payments, and tech laws.

- Proficiency in risk assessment and identification, communication with internal stakeholders, and development of mitigation tactics.

- Law degree from a leading university or law school.
