Job Summary : The role is to support the Legal function team in all compliance and legal operational matters related Ethical Business programme. This role currently works directly with and provides compliance support services to a large Agri Commodities customers' Legal Compliance and Operations and manages the support team in Chennai. Job Description : - Key responsibilities include supporting the organisation's Ethical Business Programme through managing the global counterparty screening - Development of systemic solutions to enhance the effectiveness of the current programme, production of compliance and legal operations metrics and reporting - Draft and roll-out all the required disciplinary/compliance policies as required for the organisation; providing advice and guidance to the business where required - Work closely with the legal function on various efficiency driven initiatives - Work closely with multiple international senior stakeholders throughout the business, promoting an environment of responsible risk management in an organisation that is always looking to improve - Reviewing and introducing internal compliance controls of the organisation, from time to time - Constantly watch out for the alerts (financial crime, anti-money laundering, sanctions related crime alerts) from counterparties critically, and help organisations take timely decisions Profile Description : - Graduate/Postgraduate in finance/law/business management etc. with 10-15 years' experience in a financial crime compliance focussed function on any financial institutions (BFSI/NBFC sectors) or financial services organisations - Demonstrable experience of successful development, implementation and continuous improvement of risk management strategies, policies, and frameworks for preventing and detecting financial crime which includes AML, Bribery and corruption, Terrorist Financing/Financial Sanctions, and trade monitoring - Formal fraud/AML/Sanction related qualifications would be desirable to demonstrate that the candidate has higher levels of experience and competence - Strong management experience for encouraging, developing, and motivating a team delivering outstanding performance - Able to influence and work across business units/countries at all levels of seniority - Excellent communication and comprehension skills, strong MS Office skills, strong reporting and presentation skills, strong stakeholder management skills are essential.
