About the Role:

Taggd is hiring for Deputy General Manager Legal on behalf of DP World. This role is ideal for an experienced in-house legal professional with strong expertise in commercial contracts, contract negotiations, corporate legal advisory, and commercial dispute management. The role primarily focuses on supporting business functions through legal risk management, reviewing and negotiating complex commercial agreements, and providing strategic legal advice to internal stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

- Draft, review, negotiate, and finalize high-value commercial contracts.

- Handle customer contracts, vendor agreements, procurement contracts, RFQs, tenders, MSAs, NDAs, SLAs, and other commercial documents.

- Provide day-to-day legal advisory support to business, procurement, operations, and corporate functions.

- Identify contractual risks and recommend commercially viable mitigation strategies.

- Manage commercial disputes, arbitration, mediation, and litigation in coordination with external counsel.

- Review legal notices, contractual communications, and dispute-related documentation.

- Collaborate with business stakeholders to ensure legal compliance while enabling business objectives.

- Ensure adherence to the Indian Contract Act and other applicable commercial laws.

- Coordinate with external law firms for effective legal support and dispute resolution.

Candidate Profile:

- LL.B is mandatory.

- 9-14 years of post-qualification experience.

- Strong experience in commercial contract drafting, review, negotiation, and contract lifecycle management.

- Exposure to corporate legal advisory and commercial litigation.

- Logistics industry experience is preferred but not mandatory.

- Candidates from infrastructure, EPC, manufacturing, engineering, shipping, supply chain, or other sectors with strong commercial contracts experience are encouraged to apply.

- Excellent stakeholder management and negotiation skills.

- Experience working in reputed organizations with significant commercial contracting responsibilities.
