About the Role :

We are seeking a highly motivated and business-oriented legal professional to join our Legal team as a Manager Legal. The ideal candidate will have 3 - 4 years of post-qualification experience with strong exposure to contract management, regulatory compliance, and partnerships within the banking, financial services, or fintech ecosystem. Candidates currently working with banks or regulated financial institutions and looking to transition into a fast-paced fintech environment will be strongly preferred.

Key Responsibilities :

Contract Management :

- Draft, review, negotiate, and manage a wide range of commercial and technology agreements.

- Handle end-to-end contract lifecycle management, including execution, amendments, renewals, and termination processes.

- Review vendor, customer, partnership, and service agreements to identify and mitigate legal and commercial risks.

Fintech & Banking Partnerships :

Draft, review, and negotiate fintech partnership agreements, including:

1. Banking Partnership Agreements

2. Payment Aggregator Agreements

3. Payment Gateway Agreements

4. Technology Service Agreements

5. Merchant and Platform Partnership Agreements

- Provide legal support for strategic partnerships and new business initiatives involving regulated entities.

Regulatory Compliance :

- Advise business teams on applicable regulatory requirements and ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations.

- Monitor and interpret regulatory developments issued by RBI, SEBI, and other applicable regulatory authorities.

- Support implementation of compliance frameworks, policies, and internal controls aligned with regulatory requirements.

- Coordinate with internal stakeholders on regulatory audits, inspections, and compliance reviews.

Stakeholder Management :

- Work closely with business, compliance, risk, product, and operations teams to provide practical legal advice.

- Liaise with external counsel, regulators, and partner institutions as required.

- Support management in identifying legal and regulatory risks associated with new products and business models.

Desired Candidate Profile :

Mandatory Requirements :

- LL.B. degree from a recognized institution.

- 3 - 4 years of relevant legal experience.

- Strong experience in contract drafting, review, and negotiation.

- Experience working with regulated financial entities, either from:

1. A bank/NBFC/payment institution, or

2. A service provider/fintech partnering with regulated entities.

- Knowledge of RBI regulations and regulatory compliance requirements.

Preferred Qualifications :

- Prior experience in banking, fintech, payments, NBFC, or financial services sectors.

- Exposure to SEBI regulations and broader financial regulatory frameworks.

- Experience handling fintech partnership arrangements, including banking and payment ecosystem agreements.

- Strong commercial acumen and ability to provide business-focused legal solutions.

- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth startup environment.
