Designation: Manager - Import & Export Documentation.
Location: HO,Mumbai.
Reports To: Head - Sales & Marketing (for functional alignment).
Department: Sales & Marketing (Documentation Support).
Role & Context.
- To lead and manage all documentation and compliance requirements related to import and. export activities, ensuring smooth execution of shipments in line with regulatory and company. requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee preparation, verification, and maintenance of all import and export documentation in compliance with statutory regulations (UAE, DGFT, Customs, etc.
- Manage and monitor documentation for Advance Licenses, Applications, and Closures.
- Liaise with logistics, finance, and customer service teams to ensure accurate and timely documentation flow.
- Coordinate with clearing agents, shipping lines, and freight forwarders to ensure smooth movement of goods.
- Maintain and supervise proper records of all documentation for audits and statutory inspections.
- Ensure strict compliance with all government rules, export-import policies, and company procedures.
- Provide guidance and support to internal teams for accurate and timely documentation related to shipment execution.
- Identify process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy of documentation procedures.
- Lead and mentor junior staff involved in documentation activities (if applicable).
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Commerce/International Trade or equivalent.
- Diploma/Certification in Export-Import Management preferred.
Skills/Knowledge:
- Strong expertise in import and export documentation procedures.
- In-depth understanding of statutory requirements related to shipping, customs, and DGFT.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office and documentation/reporting tools.
