The company provides end-to-end packaging solutions, including paper bags, protective packaging, and innovative packaging products, and works with leading brands across e-commerce, sports, and consumer sectors.

About the Role

The Finance Manager will be the first layer of ownership between the Founder and the existing finance team.

This is a hands-on opportunity for a finance professional who can manage a team, bring structure to the finance function, own MIS and reporting, and develop a strong understanding of the business beyond accounting and data entry.

The individual will work closely with the Founder and gradually take greater ownership of the overall finance function as the business scales.

Key Responsibilities:

- Manage and supervise a 5-member finance and accounting team.

- Ensure accurate and timely accounting, bookkeeping, and financial data entry.

- Review the team's work and ensure accuracy and completeness of financial records.

- Own MIS, management reporting, and basic financial analysis.

- Understand business numbers and translate financial data into meaningful business insights.

- Work closely with the Founder on financial and business-related matters.

- Raise relevant questions around revenue, costs, margins, working capital, and overall business performance.

- Bring greater discipline, structure, and accountability to the finance function.

- Review existing finance processes and identify areas for improvement.

- Implement appropriate controls and improve the efficiency of accounting processes.

- Coordinate with auditors and support audit requirements.

- Work closely with the manufacturing and business teams to understand operational performance.

- Monitor key financial metrics and provide regular updates to management.

- Gradually build and strengthen the finance function as the organization grows.

What We're Looking For:

- 5 - 6 years of post-qualification experience.

- Strong audit experience is important.

- Experience handling finance/accounting functions within a company is preferred.

- Prior experience in a manufacturing or business environment would be an advantage.

- Experience managing or mentoring a finance/accounting team.

- Strong understanding of accounting, financial reporting, and MIS.

- Ability to understand business numbers rather than simply processing accounting entries.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

- Good communication and stakeholder-management abilities.

- Comfortable working directly with a Founder and senior leadership.

- Ability to work independently in a lean and entrepreneurial environment.
