Job Title: Manager - Digital Transformation & Industry 4.0

Business Sub-Group: Processing & Technology

Reporting to: Senior Manager - Engineering, Processing & Technology

Location: Chirala, Andhra Pradesh

General Description:

Manager - Digital Transformation & Industry 4.0 will play a key role in shaping and executing the digital roadmap . This role will lead the implementation of next-generation automation, OT-IT integration, advanced analytics, AI/ML use cases, and Industry 4.0 solutions across facilities. The incumbent will act as a change champion, working closely with leadership, cross-functional teams, and technology partners to enable efficiency, standardization, and innovation across the Foods business.

Roles & Responsibilities:

- Define and execute the roadmap for Digital Transformation and Industry 4.0 across SBU ensuring alignment with business strategy and operational excellence goals.

- Lead deployment of advanced automation and process control systems including PLC, DCS, SCADA, HMI, and OSI PI Historian, with seamless OT-IT integration into ERP, SAP, and cloud platforms.

- Manage third-party industrial communication protocols such as Modbus, Profibus, and OPC UA/DA to ensure interoperability and standardization across facilities.

- Drive adoption of Big Data, Predictive Analytics, and AI/ML models for process optimization, energy efficiency, quality enhancement, and predictive maintenance.

- Implement image analytics and vision systems for automated defect detection, traceability, and quality control.

- Define and govern specifications, standards, SOPs, and safety requirements for transformative digital technologies, driving consistency across SBU.

- Evaluate and implement emerging technologies such as IoT, Edge Computing, and Cloud Platforms with techno-commercial feasibility.

- Act as a digital change leader, fostering a culture of innovation, adoption, and capability-building across SBU operations.

- Provide executive oversight for digital initiatives while collaborating with internal project teams, OEMs, technology vendors, and system integrators to ensure agile, future-ready upgrades.

Educational Qualification Required:

- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (BE/B.Tech) from a recognized university/institution.

- 10-15 years of relevant professional experience in FMCG industry.

Skills Required:

- Proven track record of leading digital transformation programs and migrating from legacy/on-premise systems to Industry 4.0 platforms.

- Strong hands-on expertise in automation systems (PLC, DCS, SCADA, HMI) and historian systems (OSI PI).

- Experience with OPC Server integration, industrial protocols (Modbus, Profibus, ProfNet), and OT-IT integration with enterprise platforms.

- Exposure to AI/ML use case implementation, image analytics, and vision-based systems for manufacturing operations.

- Familiarity with ISA-95 standards and enterprise integration models.

- Strong knowledge of Big Data platforms, predictive analytics, and cloud-based applications

- Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to influence without authority and drive cross-functional change.

- Excellent stakeholder management, analytical skills, and decision-making capabilities.

- Should be able to lead a team of 10 members (Bachelor & Diploma)

Experience Required: 8+ years of relevant experience in consulting or industry roles, preferably in FMCG, Consumer Goods, or Process Industries.
