
A) Compensation Management:
- Design and administer salary structures, grading frameworks, compensation policies, and pay ranges.
- Lead annual compensation review, increment, promotion, and bonus cycles.
- Conduct market benchmarking and compensation surveys to maintain external competitiveness and internal equity.
- Evaluate compensation proposals for new hires, promotions, transfers, and retention cases.
B) Payroll Operations:
- Own and manage end-to-end payroll processing for all employees across manufacturing plants and corporate offices.
- Ensure timely and accurate processing of monthly payroll, full-and-final settlements, arrears, incentives, bonuses, overtime, shift allowances, and reimbursements.
- Coordinate with Finance, HR Operations, and external payroll vendors for seamless payroll execution.
- Review payroll inputs, validations, reconciliations, and approvals before salary disbursement.
- Ensure compliance with statutory requirements including PF, ESIC, PT, LWF, Income Tax, Gratuity, Bonus, and other applicable regulations.
- Manage payroll audits and ensure statutory filings are completed accurately and within timelines.
- Address employee queries related to salary, taxation, deductions, benefits, and payroll processes.
C) Benefits Administration:
- Manage employee benefit programs including Group Mediclaim, Group Personal Accident, Term Life Insurance, Superannuation, NPS, and wellness initiatives.
- Evaluate and recommend enhancements to employee benefits programs.
- Coordinate with insurance brokers, service providers, and external consultants.
- Ensure effective communication and utilization of employee benefit programs.
D) HR Analytics & Budgeting:
- Develop and maintain HR dashboards and reports related to payroll cost, manpower cost, compensation trends, benefits utilization, attrition, and productivity.
- Support annual manpower budgeting and compensation planning exercises.
- Provide analytical insights and recommendations to leadership.
E) Compliance & Governance:
- Ensure compliance with labour laws, wage regulations, tax laws, and company policies.
- Maintain governance around payroll approvals, compensation changes, and benefit administration.
- Support internal, statutory, and external audits.
- Ensure proper documentation and record management for payroll and compensation processes.
