Manager - Business Development - International Freight Forwarding

Division/Department: International Freight Forwarding (IFF)

Position Purpose:

Manager Business Development (Freight Forwarding) will be responsible for developing and executing sales strategies to attract new clients and expand business with existing customers. They will play a key role in identifying market opportunities, developing client relationships, and achieving sales targets.

Key Responsibilities:

- Develop and execute sales strategies to meet or exceed revenue targets.

- Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the freight-forwarding sector (Air and Ocean Products).

- Build and maintain strong relationships with both new and existing clients.

- Conduct market research to identify opportunities and assess competition.

- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure client satisfaction and efficient service delivery.

- Prepare and present sales proposals and presentations to clients.

- Track and report sales performance metrics and adjust strategies as needed.

- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, regulations, and best practices.

Key Qualifications / Skills:

- Bachelor's/PG degree in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or related field.

- Proven record of accomplishment of achieving sales targets and generating new business.

- Strong understanding of the freight forwarding and logistics market.

- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.

- Ability to build and maintain strong client relationships.

- Minimum of 8 years of overall experience, including at least 3 years in sales, preferably in international freight forwarding industry.
