We are seeking a Manager Business Development with 58 years of experience in the AEC BIM industry to lead and scale our US-market business development efforts. This role is both strategic and hands-on, responsible for driving revenue growth, owning key enterprise relationships, and managing a high-performing business development team.
As a Manager BDM, you will define sales strategy, oversee the full sales lifecycle, build strong C-level relationships with US architecture and construction firms, and work closely with internal stakeholders to deliver tailored BIM solutions. You will play a critical role in strengthening VBSs market position and accelerating sustainable growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Own and drive end-to-end business development strategy for the US market within the AEC BIM domain.
- Lead the complete sales cyclefrom market penetration and prospecting to negotiations, closures, and long-term account growth.
- Build, manage, and scale a high-performing BDE team, including hiring, mentoring, target setting, and performance management.
- Develop and execute strategic sales plans to expand VBSs footprint across architecture, engineering, and construction firms in the USA.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with senior decision-makers, principals, and C-level stakeholders.
- Oversee CRM systems (Salesforce, HubSpot, or similar) to ensure pipeline accuracy, forecasting, and data-driven decision-making.
- Partner with marketing, technical, and delivery teams to create customized BIM solutions aligned with client needs.
- Lead high-impact client presentations, solution walkthroughs, and commercial discussions.
- Negotiate contracts, pricing, and service agreements while ensuring profitability and long-term client value.
- Analyze market trends, competitor strategies, and customer insights to refine GTM and sales approaches.
- Drive post-sale engagement, account expansion, renewals, and upsell opportunities.
- Represent VBS at industry events, conferences, and networking forums to enhance brand presence and thought leadership.
Skills & Competencies:
- 5 - 8 years of experience in business development or sales within the AEC BIM industry, with strong exposure to the US market.
- Proven experience managing and scaling sales teams in a B2B services or consulting environment.
- Deep understanding of BIM services, workflows, and AEC industry dynamics.
- Strong proficiency in CRM tools (Salesforce, HubSpot, or similar) and sales analytics.
- Demonstrated success in closing complex, high-value deals and building long-term client partnerships.
