Description:
- Develop and maintain expertise in the areas of data privacy and security and serve as in-house resource to collaborate on white papers, case studies, and other informational materials.
- Support other general corporate legal matters as needed and Provide legal advice and counsel to the SaaS businesses.
- Provide legal support and advice on international growth, compliance, regulatory, commercial, consumer, contentious, and competition law issues, SaaS specific privacy and data security laws and regulations, advertising regulations, mergers & acquisitions, strategic collaboration, and investments in India, North America and Europe.
- Lead contract negotiations while ensuring compliance with Nanonets policies, applicable law and industry standards.
- Develop and implement compliance programs to ensure adherence to all legal and regulatory requirements.
- Maintain compliance trackers and conduct periodic audits to assess compliance levels and address any identified issues promptly.
Demonstrated knowledge of data privacy regulations including GDPR, CCPA, HIPAA, and emerging privacy laws in other jurisdictions.
- Ability to provide practical, decisive guidance to Nanonets that balances business goals and legal risk.
- Corporate generalist experience across other key functional areas including commercial contracts, IP protection and enforcement, dispute resolution, licensing, and general corporate governance matters.
- Ability to distil complex legal issues to easily understandable business terms to facilitate problem solving in customer negotiations.
- Strong desire to collaborate cross-functionally and be recognized as a valued member of the broader business team.
