We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Business Development & Key Account Manager to lead the growth of our IoT and Smart Lighting business vertical.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for driving end-to-end B2B sales, building strategic partnerships, and managing key client relationships.
This role involves working closely with internal teams and ecosystem partners to deliver cutting-edge IoT solutions and ensure customer success.
Key Responsibilities
Business Development & Sales
- Drive end-to-end B2B sales of IoT and Smart Lighting solutions, from lead generation and opportunity qualification to deal closure.
- Pitch IoT-based concepts to clients and guide them through the process of transforming conventional products into smart, connected solutions.
- Present and promote SaaS, PaaS, IaaS, and Value-Added Services (VAS) to enterprise clients.
- Enable customers to launch OEM applications and digital services on the companys IoT platform.
- Identify and execute cross-selling and up-selling opportunities to maximize account value.
- Manage payment follow-ups and ensure timely collections.
Key Account & Partner Management
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, ecosystem partners, and CXO-level stakeholders.
- Serve as a key member of the India Business Development team to grow the IoT ecosystem and strengthen strategic partnerships.
- Collaborate with clients and internal teams to resolve technical or operational challenges related to the IoT platform.
- Ensure consistent customer satisfaction and retention through proactive account management.
Collaboration & Strategic Growth
- Work closely with marketing, product, and technical teams to identify new business opportunities and enhance solution offerings.
- Provide product and sales training to client sales teams to strengthen their primary and secondary sales capabilities.
- Contribute to the overall revenue growth of Powered by Plexilent solutions through market expansion and strategic engagement.
- Ensure timely delivery, installation, and post-sale support in coordination with internal teams.
Qualifications & Experience
Education:
- B./B.Tech in Electronics, IT, Computer Science, or a related field.
- MBA in Marketing or Business Development (preferred).
Experience:
- 5-7 years of experience in IoT product or solution sales, preferably in a B2B enterprise environment.
- Proven track record in business development, key account management, and strategic partnership building.
- Strong technical understanding of IoT platforms, smart devices, and digital transformation processes.
