
Role Overview
The Data Center Strategy Lead will be responsible for defining and executing the long-term strategy for the organizations data center footprint, capacity planning, modernization initiatives, cost optimization, and alignment with business growth. The role requires deep expertise in physical infrastructure, cloud integration, sustainability, and vendor ecosystem management.
Key Responsibilities
Strategy & Planning
- Develop and execute enterprise-wide data center strategy
- Define roadmap for expansion, consolidation, or migration
- Conduct capacity planning and future demand forecasting
- Align infrastructure strategy with business and digital transformation goals
Operations & Optimization
- Optimize utilization, performance, reliability, and cost of existing facilities
- Drive automation, standardization, and operational efficiency initiatives
- Ensure high availability and disaster recovery readiness
Vendor & Stakeholder Management
- Manage relationships with colocation providers, OEMs, and service partners
- Collaborate with IT, network, security, facilities, and finance teams
Financial & Commercial Management
- Develop business cases and ROI models for investments
- Identify cost-saving opportunities and efficiency gains
Sustainability & Compliance
- Drive energy efficiency and green data center initiatives
- Ensure regulatory, security, and compliance adherence
