Role: Legal Specialist - Litigation (AM / DM)
Location: Mumbai
Position Overview:
We are seeking a high-performing Legal Specialist with core expertise in corporate litigation to join our team in Mumbai. In this role, you will lead end-to-end dispute management, mitigate legal exposure, coordinate with external counsel, and provide key strategic legal advice on IP, product, and regulatory matters.
Key Responsibilities:
- Litigation & Dispute Strategy: Oversee, manage, and defend corporate litigation, arbitration, regulatory proceedings, and commercial disputes across various judicial forums.
- Legal Drafting & Review: Draft, evaluate, and finalize notices, pleadings, motions, legal briefs, affidavits, and written submissions.
- External Counsel & Stakeholder Management: Brief and manage external advocates, law firms, and legal consultants to ensure effective, cost-efficient case strategies.
- IPR & Commercial Advisory: Render legal opinions on trademark rights, product packaging, trade dress protection, advertising claims, and social media compliance.
- Contractual Support & Documentation: Assist with drafting, negotiating, and managing commercial contracts to minimize potential dispute risks.
- MIS & Regulatory Tracking: Maintain litigation records, update case management reports, track legal expenditure, and monitor emerging statutory laws and judicial precedents.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Education: Bachelor of Laws (LLB) or Master of Laws (LLM) from a recognized university or law institute.
- Experience: 5 - 6 years of post-qualification experience in core litigation within a large corporate setup or top-tier law firm representing corporate clients.
- Skills: Strong analytical acumen, sharp drafting abilities, key knowledge of IP / Trade Dress laws, and excellent negotiation and communication skills.
