Legal Role - Renewable Energy & Infrastructure Sector

We are currently assisting a leading player in the Renewable Energy & Infrastructure sector with a senior in-house legal leadership hiring.

Location: Hyderabad

Reporting To: General Counsel

The organization is a well-established name in the clean energy ecosystem with a significant presence across Solar, Wind, BESS, and emerging energy solutions. With large-scale renewable projects under development and operations across India, the company is looking to strengthen its legal leadership team with an experienced professional who can partner closely with business and management stakeholders.

Role Overview:

The position will be responsible for driving the legal function across project development, commercial operations, regulatory matters, disputes, and strategic business initiatives within the renewable energy space.

Key Areas of Responsibility:

- Commercial contracts, negotiation & documentation

- Renewable energy regulatory advisory

- Land acquisition, title due diligence & project support

- Litigation, arbitration & dispute resolution

- Corporate governance, compliance & risk management

- Stakeholder management with external counsels, authorities & consultants

- Leading and mentoring the legal team

Ideal Candidate Profile:

- 12-15 years PQE

- Strong experience within Renewable Energy, Infrastructure, Power, EPC, or allied sectors

- Expertise in contracts, disputes, arbitration, and regulatory advisory

- Prior exposure to land laws, IPP frameworks, project documentation, and commercial risk management

- Strong business orientation with leadership and stakeholder management capabilities
