Legal Professional - Insurance

Key Responsibilities:

Legal Advisory & Contract Management:

- Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of insurance contracts ensuring legal robustness and commercial viability.

- Provide legal interpretations and advice on complex contract clauses and their enforceability.

- Support the business by offering timely and practical legal guidance on various transactions and initiatives.

Regulatory Compliance & Risk Mitigation:

- Monitor legal risks associated with business operations and contracts, recommending appropriate mitigation measures.

- Collaborate with compliance teams to ensure integrated legal and regulatory risk management.

Liaison & External Coordination:

- Manage relationships with external legal counsel, regulatory authorities, and other stakeholders as needed.

- Support internal stakeholders in responding to legal queries and regulatory examinations.

Corporate Governance Support:

- Provide legal support in preparation and review of board and committee documents, ensuring adherence to governance standards.

Digital-First & New Age Focus:

- Stay updated on legal developments related to digital insurance products, InsurTech, data privacy, and cybersecurity laws relevant to insurance.

- Assist in legal assessments of new technology-driven initiatives, ensuring compliance with evolving legal frameworks.

Requirement : 8-12 years of legal experience, preferably in the General Insurance industry only
