Legal Manager - Arbitration - LLB/LLM

About the Role:

Looking for a Dynamic Legal Manager for a Tech platform based in Mumbai!

Job Responsibilities:

- Develop and execute the organisation's legal strategy, ensuring alignment with business objectives while proactively managing legal and regulatory risks.

- Lead legal operations by designing scalable workflows, governance frameworks, and process improvements to enhance efficiency and compliance.

- Drive legal initiatives supporting the Online Dispute Resolution (ODR) ecosystem and stay updated on developments in ADR, ODR, technology law, and relevant regulations.

- Provide practical legal guidance on operational matters, resolving complex legal and procedural issues with a business-focused approach.

- Identify opportunities to leverage technology and automation to improve legal processes, productivity, and operational effectiveness.

- Build and maintain strong relationships with regulators, industry bodies, external counsel, and other key stakeholders.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support business objectives, improve operational efficiency, and deliver strategic legal solutions.

- Conduct legal awareness programs and training sessions to educate internal teams and external stakeholders on legal and compliance matters.

- Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing legal team by fostering collaboration, accountability, and continuous professional development.

- Establish performance goals, drive operational excellence, and promote a culture of knowledge sharing, innovation, and continuous improvement within the legal function.

Job Requirements:

- LLB (LLM preferred) from a reputed institution.

- 4-8 years of post-qualification experience in in-house legal, law firms or legal consulting.

- Strong experience in commercial contracting, corporate advisory and litigation management.

- Excellent understanding of Indian corporate laws, contract law, technology law and regulatory frameworks.

- Experience working with startups, fintech, SaaS or technology companies is preferred.

- Working knowledge of ADR and Online Dispute Resolution frameworks will be an advantage.

- Excellent drafting, negotiation and stakeholder management skills.

- Strong analytical thinking and commercial judgement.
