Client:
Organization with expertise in ecommerce, technology, marketing, category management & demand planning and is engaged in partnering with brands in the Home, Apparel, Beauty and Personal Care verticals grow exponentially across the globe.
Experience:
- LLB degree from a reputable institution.
- 2 to 4 years of experience as Contract Counsel in a leading law firm and/or in-house legal team.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to condense and convey complicated issues clearly and succinctly.
- Ability to work collaboratively and effectively in a fast-paced environment with a diverse pool of internal stakeholders in particular the Investments, Finance, Growth and Treasury teams.
- Exceptional analytical and organizational skills, including the ability to manage complex assignments and timelines, exercising sound judgment and decision-making in prioritization of multiple deadlines.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Drafting and negotiating legal agreements: You would be responsible for drafting and negotiating commercial legal agreements such as vendor contracts, procurement contracts, service provider contracts and more.
- Providing strategic legal advice: You would need to provide legal advice and guidance to Clients businesses stakeholders on legal issues related to corporate matters, statutory and regulatory compliance, privacy, consumer laws, and more.
- Managing legal risks: You would need to identify and manage potential legal risks related to agreements to ensure that the Client and its various business interests are protected.
- You would need to stay up to date on relevant laws, regulations, and industry trends and advise on interpretation and application of a wide variety of legal areas including media laws, intellectual property, IT laws, data protection, payment regulations, advertising & marketing laws/regulations and more.
- Preparation of transaction documents, legal due diligence, supporting legal negotiations, signing and closing as well as managing post-closing matters related to a transaction.
