
Role Overview:
The Opportunity_ Legal Counsel will serve as a key legal advisor, providing comprehensive legal support to Domnic Lewis International's operations in Pune and related projects. This role involves working closely with project teams, business development, and senior management to ensure legal compliance, mitigate risks, and protect the company's interests. The successful candidate will play a critical role in structuring, negotiating, and managing contracts, as well as advising on regulatory matters.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide expert legal advice and guidance to internal stakeholders on a wide range of legal issues related to construction projects, contracts, and regulatory compliance.
- Draft, review, and negotiate various commercial contracts, including EPC contracts, subcontracts, supply agreements, and joint venture agreements, ensuring favorable terms and conditions for the company.
- Manage and oversee the company's regulatory compliance program, ensuring adherence to all applicable laws and regulations, including environmental, health, and safety regulations.
- Conduct legal research and analysis on complex legal issues, providing clear and concise advice to management.
- Represent the company in legal proceedings, including dispute resolution, arbitration, and litigation, as needed.
- Develop and implement legal policies and procedures to minimize legal risks and ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
- Advise on corporate governance matters and ensure compliance with corporate laws and regulations.
Required Skillset:
- Bachelor's degree in Law (LLB) required; Master's degree (LLM) preferred.
- Minimum of 8-12 years of relevant legal experience in a corporate or law firm setting, with a focus on contract management and regulatory compliance.
