Transhipment - the movement of cargo from one vessel to another while in transit to its destination - is my clients core business in Singapore. -The Group's portfolio comprises over 60 deepsea, rail and inland terminals, as well as affiliated businesses in supply chain management, logistics, marine and digital services, Container Port Operator, Cargo Solutions, Supply Chain, Digital Trade Facilitation, Marine Services, Logistics, Internet of Logistics, Port Community Solutions, and smart ports. Responsibilities of the role : - To work closely with management and internal teams to provide practical and strategic legal advice on all legal matters. - Advise on all other relevant functional areas related to the company's businesses, including cargo, logistics, information technology, insurance, leases, legal risk management, human resource and corporate governance. - Draft, review and advise on various types of procurement contracts. - Draft, review and advise on construction contracts. - Advise the India team on project bids. - Handle the general commercial contracts. Requirements for the Role : - Admitted to a Bar Council in India. - Law degree from a reputable college in India. - 7 to 10 years PQE, preferably with 4-5 years' experience in a reputable law firm. Work experience in the areas set out at 'Responsibilities of the Role'. - Ability to multitask and concurrently manage legal aspects of multiple substantial projects and/or matters. - Strong interpersonal, communication and negotiation skills. - Ability to be sensitive to, and take into account, relevant commercial, strategic and/ or legal risk management considerations and render mature legal advice and guidance. - Ability to work independently and to be an effective team player. - Flexible and adaptable; willing and able to travel for legal matters as required. Legal team : Reporting to General Counsel & Company Secretary. The global team currently has around 6-7 legal team members. This is a standalone role.
