Legal Consultant

Job Summary

We are seeking a knowledgeable and detail-oriented Legal Consultant to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in various areas of law, including but not limited to estate planning, environmental law, immigration law, and family law. As a Legal Consultant, you will provide expert legal advice, conduct thorough research, and assist in the drafting of legal documents while ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations.

Responsibilities

- Provide legal consultation and advice on matters related to estate planning, environmental law, immigration law, landlord-tenant law, family law, securities law, workers' compensation law, personal injury law, tribal law & regulations, and patent law.

- Conduct comprehensive legal research using tools such as LexisNexis and Westlaw to support case preparation and strategy development.

- Draft legal documents including contracts, agreements, pleadings, and other necessary paperwork with precision and clarity.

- Assist clients in negotiations and dispute resolution processes to achieve favorable outcomes.

- Collaborate with attorneys and other legal professionals within the firm to ensure cohesive case management.

- Maintain organized records of all client interactions and case developments within the law office environment.

- Stay updated on changes in laws and regulations that may impact clients or the firms practice areas.

Requirements

- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited institution is preferred.

- Proven experience in legal consulting or a related field with demonstrated expertise in multiple areas of law.

- Strong negotiation skills with the ability to advocate effectively for clients.

- Excellent writing skills for drafting clear and persuasive legal documents.

- Proficiency in legal research methodologies using platforms such as LexisNexis and Westlaw.

- Prior experience in a law office setting is highly desirable.

- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail to ensure accuracy in all legal work.
