Role Overview:

We are seeking a seasoned Legal professional to join a leading lubricants company in a strategic business partnering role. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in contract management, documentation, and legal due diligence, with a strong understanding of retail manufacturing operations.

This role demands a proactive legal advisor who can seamlessly collaborate with cross-functional teams, ensure compliance, and drive commercial clarity across business initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

Contract Management (70%)

- Draft, review, and negotiate commercial contracts, vendor agreements, distribution and supply chain contracts

- Maintain contract repository and ensure timely renewals and compliance tracking

- Liaise with internal stakeholders to align contract terms with business goals

Documentation & Due Diligence

- Oversee legal documentation for partnerships, licensing, and regulatory filings

- Conduct legal due diligence for new ventures, vendor onboarding, and strategic alliances

- Ensure accuracy and completeness of legal records and audit readiness

Business Partnering

- Act as legal advisor to business heads, sales, procurement, and operations teams

- Support risk mitigation strategies and policy implementation

- Educate internal teams on legal best practices and compliance norms

Candidate Profile

- 10 to 15 years of legal experience in MNCs with 3000+ crore turnover, preferably in retail manufacturing or FMCG sectors

- Strong exposure to contract lifecycle management, commercial law, and compliance frameworks

- Proven ability to work in a fast-paced, matrixed environment with high confidentiality

- Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills

LLB mandatory; LLM preferred
