Key Responsibilities:
1. Legal Strategy & Advisory
- Develop and execute the company's legal strategy aligned with business objectives.
- Provide legal counsel to the executive team on a wide range of corporate, commercial, and operational matters.
- Advise on legal risks associated with strategic decisions, transactions, and day-to-day activities.
2. Corporate Governance & Regulatory Compliance
- Ensure compliance with local and international laws, regulations, and industry standards.
- Manage statutory obligations, board resolutions, and company secretarial matters.
- Lead compliance initiatives, internal policy reviews, and training programs.
3. Contracts & Commercial Law
- Oversee the drafting, negotiation, and review of key commercial agreements (vendor, customer, JV, M&A, NDAs, etc.).
- Standardize contract templates and implement effective contract lifecycle management processes.
4. Litigation & Dispute Resolution
- Manage and oversee all litigation, arbitration, and regulatory matters.
- Liaise with external counsel, monitor case progress, and manage legal risk exposure.
- Settle disputes in a timely, cost-effective, and strategic manner.
5. Risk Management
- Identify, assess, and mitigate legal risks across the business.
- Support the enterprise risk management framework in collaboration with other departments.
6. Team Leadership
- Build and lead an in-house legal team or manage relationships with external counsel.
- Foster a proactive, business-friendly legal culture throughout the organization.
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor's degree in Law (LLB); Master of Laws (LLM) or Bar Admission preferred
