Head - Performance Management & Total Rewards

Purpose of the Role:

To lead the organization's Performance Management agenda, drive digital transformation initiatives across PMS and Compensation platforms, strengthen people analytics and reward effectiveness, and support ESG reporting and strategic projects within the Performance Management and Total Rewards function. The role will be closely working with business team for the performance management process, performance matrix, KPI quality assurance and performance outcomes, and data-driven decision making while ensuring robust governance, quality assurance, and process excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Performance Management:

- Own and manage the end-to-end Performance Management cycle for on-roll employees and support alignment with field force performance frameworks.

- Drive KPI design, goal setting, moderation and calibration processes.

- Periodical review and ensure KPI quality assurance, consistency and completeness of KPIs across functions.

- Review and enhance PMS policies, frameworks and governance mechanisms.

- Partner with business leaders to improve performance differentiation and pay-for-performance outcomes.

2. Digital Transformation:

- Lead implementation and enhancement of PMS and Compensation digital platforms/modules.

- Drive automation and digitization initiatives within Performance Management and Total Rewards.

- Manage UAT, process design, business requirements and stakeholder management for HR technology initiatives.

- Identify opportunities for simplification and process improvements.

3. HR Analytics and Reward Analytics:

- Develop dashboards and insights on performance, rewards and workforce productivity.

- Drive analytics on ratings, payouts, pay-productivity, promotion effectiveness, internal parity and retention risks.

- Generate insights to support leadership decision making and NRC discussions.

- Support development of reward analytics and predictive people analytics capabilities.

4. Business Collaboration on Incentive design:

- Partner with Business Strategy, Sales and Finance teams on incentive design and effectiveness reviews.

- Support periodic review of incentive structures to ensure alignment with business priorities and productivity objectives.

- Evaluate incentive outcomes and recommend improvements based on business performance and market practices.

5. ESG Reporting and Governance:

- Manage HR-related ESG metrics and reporting requirements.

- Support ESG Committee data submissions, presentations and governance requirements.

- Coordinate with internal stakeholders for timely and accurate ESG disclosures.

6. Strategic Projects:

- Lead and support special projects across Performance Management and Total Rewards.

- Support implementation of Labour Code-related changes impacting rewards and performance frameworks.

- Drive organization-wide initiatives relating to pay productivity, workforce effectiveness and reward strategy.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):

- Successful implementation and stabilization of PMS and Compensation modules.

- KPI quality assurance, productivity review and business alignment.

- Timely and quality closure of annual PMS cycle.

- Reduction in manual processes through digitization and automation.

- Accuracy and timeliness of HR and reward analytics dashboards.

- Effective incentive framework governance and business alignment.

- Timely and error-free ESG reporting and committee submissions.

- Successful delivery of strategic PMS and Total Rewards projects.

Preferred Candidate Profile:

- MBA/PGDM in HR from a reputed institution.

- 5 - 7 years of relevant experience in Performance Management, Compensation & Benefits and HR Analytics.

- Prior experience in the Insurance industry is strongly preferred.

- Strong understanding of Performance Management frameworks, Compensation structures and incentive design.

- Experience in implementation of HRMS, PMS or Compensation systems.

- Strong analytical and quantitative capabilities with proficiency in data interpretation and dashboarding tools.

- Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and drive cross-functional initiatives.

Preferred Background:

Candidates with a Compensation & Benefits background, strong analytics capability and hands-on experience in Performance Management within the Insurance industry will be preferred, considering the integrated nature of the role and the organization's evolving Performance management and Productivity management agenda.
